The Philosophy Of The Spiral

Every soul carries a unique code—an innate rhythm designed to harmonise with the beauty of the world. Yet, life has a way of fracturing that rhythm. When we lose our cadence, we feel it as a profound discord, a disharmony: a persistent hum of anxiety, or loss of purpose, or a body that no longer feels like a safe home.

The spiral represents our return to the centre of the core, our code. It is not a straight line of "fixing" but an unfolding. Our work together is an intentional process of reflexive self-discovery, a path that requires a quiet, steady determination to illumine shadows, restore the nervous system, and unlearn the static of the past.

The Philosophy Of The Path

The path inward leads us toward what I call "insourcing." In a world that constantly asks you to look outward for permission and healing, in-sourcing is the practice of reclaiming your own internal authority. It is the reflexive, deep work of developing the honesty and resilience required to show up fully in the outer world—not as a version of yourself shaped by someone else's ideas, but as the person you were always coded to be.

Beyond Labels

While many therapeutic approaches focus on a list of symptoms—depression, anxiety, or the various ways our bodies and minds struggle to cope—I see these not as problems to be 'fixed' but as the language of a story unheard. They are the signals of a soul that is unseen and a body that no longer feels like a safe harbour.

The work is to understand what these symptoms are trying to communicate and to trace the path of their development. By enquiring with compassion into the 'parts' of yourself that are asking to live more fully today, we transform your "disharmony" into data for healing.

This process includes psychoeducation. It requires a dedicated curiosity to learn the landscape of your psyche through self-reflection, some guided reading, and a willingness to understand the profound wisdom your nervous system has held on your behalf.

How do we work together?

1. By noticing and reflecting upon a level of disharmony in an area of your life, you are deciding to seek support and begin the process of internal change.

2. We have an online discovery session so that we can initially meet, share the internal work you have done before, and figure out what you need from therapy today.

3. Our first session will build a picture of what is happening for you today. We decide how to structure the sessions, and develop a way of working together.
